Hello All I have a p38 '2000' model, diesel The missus bought the car back this morning saying it felt sluggish and under powered and that it had come up on the dash say CAS Fault. When i went out to the car an hour later all was fine no fault lights suspension goes up n down like it should...

cheers i'll keep my eye on that, the garage that did it had the center tool, and made a tool to remove the joints.

had the balljoints (upper & lower) replaced the other day cost me £170 at a truck specialist, WAY CHEAPER THAN ANY LR BOYS WOULD DO IT FOR. She now drives like a dream

mines also a 2000 diesel & did exactly the same thing when i pulled the cored, i couldnt find where it was ment to attach either.

fake or real, why would u take the time to do this to a rangie, need to transport 15 people? then get a transit minibus! or use 3 rangies. No need for crap like this on the roads

had the ball joints replaced and she drives beautifully now, thanks to everyone that help with the problems

just my luck then that mine are shagged, I realise that u only replace when worn, n they not a normal service part, just wondered if it was a common problem on a p38.

perhaps i should look into buying the tools then, anyone no where i could get them from? tried ebay n couldn't find them

It does seem reasonable if its going on an expensive car, but at that cost i could just get another cheap trailer
