Same place on a RHD 96 300TDi. Run a search on LZ or even over the web as there are some good links about. Have you tried looking in Rave?

For those who don't frequent 'Anything goes'

I posted this http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f37/rangies-can-swim-83053.html in the anything goes section but I thought it may appeal to some in here also. Cheers

    Disco seats

Got RRC electric leathers seats in my 96 300TDi. Went straight in with a bit of wiring. The armrests are a tight fit and rub the cubby box if you constantly move them or the seat backwards and backwards. Never bothered me though. Only thing is, some models have slightly different seat rails...

cured the abs n brake shuddering

Well done. There's lots of info on here that'll save you money whilst keeping your landy on the safe side.

    Ramps or axle stands

Spoil yourself and get both! Axle stands can be a pain because you have to lift the car onto them. Ramps can be a pain because they're a set height and you can't move the wheels. To be honest, you'd probably get away without either if you're just changing the exhaust. Plenty of room under...

    I'm not a happy bunny

Sorry to hear your tale of woe. Where are all the regulars rushing to your aid? Don't know all the prices but all the bits should be do-able on a diy basis. Take it as a great opportunity to get to know your landy better.:)

    Bloody doors

Get some of these Land Rover Discovery Door Lock Latch Repair Spring Set on eBay (end time 06-Jul-09 15:52:19 BST) as you'll need them at some point anyway. Pull the cards off the doors and see what you can see.

    Clutch!

Don't know deependers but is your clutch fluid going down? If so, probably the seals in the master cylinder. If you hold the clutch in for a reasonable amount of time, does the car creep forward?

    Parts?

Paddocks or Craddocks of t'interweb ( or Rimmer Bros if you're feeling flush). Ebay for a lock spring set rather than new locks?

    Sill replacement

Cheers for the replies. Looks like I'll be breaking the welder out soon. What's the best way to split spotwelds? Spotweld drill, cutter or just a good chisel?

    Sill replacement

I've done a search and found a few different threads relating to replacing sills on Discovery (97, 300TDi). Having a poke around mine before it goes of for MOT, I found a hole in the rear passenger side sill. No problem, just patch it up and job's a good 'un. Having previously checked the...

Cat bypass and possible backbox removal...

Not as a rule but ran it around a field when I first replaced the engine without an exhaust on. The turbo takes a lot of the noise out.

Cat bypass and possible backbox removal...

Don't know the legalities but a TDi engine running with no exhaust is pretty quiet.

    Cannock to Preston/Blackpool/Lancaster

Anyone out there on their way North past Cannock? Need a part picking up in Cannock and delivering to either Preston, Blackpool or Lancaster. If anyone is in a position to help, PM me with dates and we can chat about tea, biscuits, chippies, manicures:eek:, or just plain beer tokens. Cheers
