i wash my td5 after every greenlaning/pay and play dates while engine running no issues so far

get a cheap unit, if(hopefully not) it fails you can still drive anyway

depends what you are going to do with your disco if you are going greenlaning, pay and play - get manual. trust me you will enjoy however, if she is going to be your daily driver, consider auto.

i would just keep it in case one day you want to do some crazy sh*t at pay and play sites
