Since it takes less than 2 minutes to change back to standard H7 bulbs, that won't be an issue.

Just fitted some 35w 6000K HIDs to the dipped beam, very impressed. I'm looking at doing the main beam too but can't decide whether to get another set of 35w 6000K's or 55w 6000K's. Has anyone fitted the 55w version?

Hi Crockett, I forgot to mention I was going to replace the slave as well and I've ordered a DMF from ebay. Hopefully I'll be able to find a garage close by to fit it all for a sensible price.

Marky, I hope my reopening of this thread hasn't put the kiss of death on your unit. I'll have a look around Ebay again and decide on which unit to buy. I have the HK audio system too.

Thinking of going down this route as well. Now that you have had these fitted a while, what are your thoughts on the units you purchased? Which units did people buy? I have to say that i'm a little put off of the unit 2.0 Hippo bought due to the problems encountered with it.

Have you got a door open warning on the dash when you have the plug connected and the tail door shut?

Quick update. Not had time to sort this out fully. I disconnected the tail foor microswitch plug and the window is now working. The only issue is that I have to hold the tail door handle in when I want to open the door. No problem with that so will leave it as it is until I have time to strip...

Hello all, recently bought a 3dr Freelander Sport Premium. Loving the car, only niggle at the moment is the tail door microswitch.

Currently averaging 38mpg from my td4 on my daily commute of 70 miles. Mixture of roads from town to short stretch on motorway.

Managed to close the window by putting 12v direct to the motor. Would the window have powered down if the wiper motor micro switch wasn't working? What's the best way to check the door handle/lock interlock?

It is fully down. The plug had been disconnected on the motor, when it was reconnected, I pressed the down button on the centre console and it went down. When I pressed up on the switch it did nothing. I lifted the roof up and as soon as the microswitch broke contact, there was a warning beep...
