On my Sony there is an option in the munu to boost the mic which makes a BIG difference Have you had a look to see if you have a similar option? Brian

I reckon my 2000 td5 gets about 30mpg and I have a heavy right foot :rolleyes: Not had mine that lone but so far i have had problems with corroded Ace pipes and the rear air suspension had ben replaced with springs just before i bought it both of these items seem to be a common fault...

As the title says is it possible to retrofit air con complete with the digital controls to a 1999 Discovery 2 TD5?? Has anyone done this? What bits would i need and is the wiring already there for all the bits? i think i would need Digital control panel Aircon pump change the heater...

Im sure you cant use the CD changer once fitted. Ive just fitted a Sony CD player to mine and it has bluetooth handsfree AND you can stream music from the ipod straight to the radio works fantastic and only £150 from halfrauds, maybe cheaper elswhere but could not be arsed to look. Brian

Not had mine long enough to greese anything lol I dont think the TD5s have a spring on that handle, at least not one that can be replaced. A few peeps on here said that you had to replace the complete lock....I had a look on ebay(what did we do before ebay?)and found some between £50 and...

Isnt that bit the ace block that has the solenoids and filter etc?? the pump is up in the engine bay. Brian

Dont know what the total cost would be but the 2 rear ace pipes and 2 litres of pas fluid has just cost me £219 from a LR dealer:eek::eek::eek: Could not find any cheaper alternatives as far as the ace pipes were concerned. The rear pipes were fiddly to fit, routing them around the chassis...

£60 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: It can stay broke for a bit longer, im still recovering form nearly £200 for my rear ace pipes. Ill just shove my daughter into the boot when ever i need it opened :D Brian

Hi All Before anyone launches into do a search, i have and cant find any reference to my fault. Its a 2000 discovery td5 ES Problem is I can't get into the boot as the locks are not opening. If when i lock the car I double lock it ie 2 presses of the lock button on the keyfob, i cant unlock...

Dont think it can do the ace only the nanocom can do that and then only if its got the latest firmware. Brian

Theres a rumour that Nanocom are about to release in the next couple of months a new version that will also do more than the TD5's so if you intend to buy one hold back if you can. Brian
