The engine should warm up quicker due to the coolent not being under pressure, try timing it when you replace the caps.

When i was just pottering around going to and from etc i used to change up when the engine needed it or depending on traffic etc. But usually used to be around 2k-2.5k.

I had this on my D1 at 64mph, changed the steering damper but just masked the problem, I had the wheels balanced which did cock all as they were fine, in the end it was the Swivel pre load. They add or take away shims to make it harder to turn, I think it's around 6Kg force before they should...

To be honest I don't think it would matter, it would sort it's self out if it's a cam as it's not always in contact with it. But then I could be wrong

Being a diesel if you loose battery power and the engine has a mechanical pump it won't stop until you stall or the fuel runs out. My money is on the fuel solenoid sticking open, or the the ignition switch shorting in the closed postion. Let us know how you get on.

ok I can understand the Servicing but what do the magnets do? Do they make the fuel change in a wierd degree or just help keep the crap out?
