just had a nice lovely row with the bloke at land rover as i was quoted 30 quid plus vat for diagnostic check an get key sorted now they want 100 quid plus vat for basically takin the door card off that i had already started to strip off an was only held on by 2 screws not a happy bunny :(

aparently its not the switch its my becm so i thinks ive gotta bite the bullet but i aint payin land rovers prices so whos the cheapest an easiest cuz if i buy one would it need programmin to my key or is it a case of plug it back in put my eka code in an fob will work cuz if i tell my mrs its...

thats what im gettin keycode lockout even tho im puttin in right eka code so i might get away with just gettin the latch done then if not ill have to start lookin at becm :(

where is the becm located then so if i do have to change it ?

what ya gotta do first is undo track rod ends an anti roll bar drop links then undo 4 21 mm bolts that hold subframe on an the 13mm bolt thats in stabliser mount on back of engine an subframe will be off drain oil out of ird then take drivers side drive shaft off an rear prop shaft off once sub...
