There is some better stuff available on the market instead of slick 50. Ametech do some excellent additives for both gearbox and engine. I have used the engine additive and highly recommend it.

Daryl, what year is your Disco and is it ABS or NON ABS? Just checked and it is called a Pressure Reducing Valve no matter whether the vehicle has ABS or not

Hi Daryl....Is there a brake pipe coming out of the back of the unit shown in your picture? If yes...and that pipe runs to the rear brakes....it is a brake compensator valve. It reduces the pressure to the rear brakes.

Hi Billy.....There is a place that does them at Spennymoor and there is a lad who owns a fabrication shop next to me who is very very reasonable. I just gave him the dimentions of what i wanted and he bent them to my dimensions

I looked at a load of TD5's before Buying my 2002....I plumped for the V8 because i'm not bothered about the fuel economy. I was trading up from my 1995 2.0 mpi which i still have and the TD5 wasn't much better than that. And 1 thing to remember.....you get the gorgous BURBLE for free with a V8

I would wait and see what they say about buying the car back...You might get it for a grand.... May i ask what year and model your disco is?

I run a Disco 2 V8 as my everyday car and i never complain about fuel economy....If you are taking fuel economy into consideration,then in my opinion you cant afford to run 1. With a V8 you just fill it back up when its empty and sod the mileage.

Hi Dan...........The lad down the street from me is selling a 1997 Disco 1 V8 auto with lpg fitted. Its very clean for its age and runs well. It has 6 months tax and test on it and comes with a private plate.

Where abouts are you in the uk? Coz if you are local i'll give you a hand with the paintwork when i get back off holiday. Dave
