Do you regret buying a Freelander?

According to what I've read elsewhere on here, the Td4 version is not all that much slower than the V6, without the K-series worries, and a much better mpg...?? I would imagine where you loose out is 'terminal velocity' Any truth? .

I will have owned mine for a couple of years soon, and with 121,000 miles on it, it drives like a dream. :) Once I was able to replace the mixed tyres with a single brand and type (Maxxis Marauders - budgets) the road noise fell away dramatically. I still hope to own a Defender aswell...

newbi got td 4 starting probs

Kev, my garage found I had a 'cell' going down in the Unipart "Calcium" battery (the name on the battery) which meant overnight in these cold days, the juice in the battery wasn't enough to do the business on 1st start of the day.... just clicking and flashing warning lights only! The battery...

I get this sometimes with the 1st start-up of the day - dash lights flicker, along with a clicking sound. If I turn it back to 'ignition off' position, put my foot on the clutch to disconnect the load of the gearbox from the engine, and count to ten, turn it again, and bingo she'll fire up... I...

Hmm, whilst this has inspired me to something about mine at last, what if the current situation is that it's pretty 'clogged' with this treacle like deposit at the moment and all I do is this de-activation ... will the clogging-up just stop, will it get any worse or will it actually improve...
