Had a similar problem meself, drove 10 miles down dual carriageway, went to slow down for roundabout, pedal hit the floor !, not good in my auto, brown trouser moment for sure, anyway turns out r/h front caliper had 2 pistons siezed on, boiling brake fluid. new caliper & change of fliud now all...

Hi all, when my disco has warmed up i sometimes get a smell of rubber coming in to the car, are there any common things to check?

well i just can't shake off this addiction, this is my 4th disco in 3 years, past models were 3 dr tdi, 5 dr v8 on gas, and 5 dr es tdi manual. Now have 5 dr tdi auto, returned back to the home soil 4 years ago from japan, so no welding needed! (yet). If there's a cure, let me know, cheers, john.
