Disco 2 chassis' are not like rrc or disco 1, they rot very early on, not good. Let's hope the engine does not go wrong as well, td5 not as good as a 300 tdi.

Ive been to peterborough and billing in the past, but to pay that much money just so people can try and sell you stuff is a p*ss take. Dont bother to go to Billing ,just peterborough, but I dont go to the show just the off road course

Yes thats the one Been with the wife and kids to the quarry and before that at a prevous site. Kids love it but not much better than what the average wesh farmer does not do on a average day. :D

Yes DI engines dont need glow plugs to start from cold, but IDI engines do. They are only fitted as an ade to reduce smoke from cold starts. Some Freelander/rover diesel engines only have 3 glow plugs fitted any way. Never needed mine this last winter

Took the whole thing off complete as height was not a problem with out it. Also by removing it reduced the over hang from the axle to ball.

Thats right, just fitted for less smoke from cold. Never wired mine up ,always started

If its a tdi dont need glow plugs, weld the hole up

I read it as would the rear diff on its own be strong enough to drive the vehicle along using a different engine as a rear wheel drive only NO :eek:
