    early radiators

You should have spent more money, britpart are cheap, that's why you bought it and not a quality radiator which would have fitted. Any way if it's a daily drive then you could have cut and fitted the old radiator bracket with out brazing. Parts not fitting is a problem encountered in the...

    Chattering noice when idling

No way is it the clutch bearing, it's the plate as jamesmartin said. I have had the same problem on all the vehicles fitted with the L77/R380 gearbox. :)

    early radiators

Making parts fit is part of the fun :D If you want to buy parts off the shelf then you will have to buy a more popular, modern car. :)

Leaky Disco... what needs attention first?

Looks about normal If no oil on the drive I would check levels and if low after topping up check for a bad leak. Whining noise could be low oil level in axles or gearboxes.

    half shaft worrys!

They don't snap unless you go off roading and abuse it. If you do break some thing, diff lock and drive home at moderate speed. Over sized tyres and to much right foot when off roading is the reason for breakages.

    peterborough 4x4

Different levels of driving skills more like.:) Did see mostly 90 110 with big tyres and snorkels and jacked up supension, a bit over the top:D A bog stanard Land rover would do just fine Driver skills are more important than all the bolt on bollocks.

Went to the off road course in my classic with the family and was not impressed.:( No challenge, even with side steps, standard suspension and road tyres. I think they need to spice it up or I won't bother next year.

    Checking the vc +ujs

As I said, if you can find a good one. Had a spare on a scrap car so it was free and I had driven the spare car before. Using s/h saved me loads of money and if the s/h VC is cheap its worth a try as changing it is easy

    bollocks! Glow plug snapped!

Does not need any glow plugs to start in the winter, how do I know ? The last 10 years my 300 tdi has not had them wired up. The reason they are fitted is to ade starting, less smoke from cold . IDI engines need glow plugs to start, DI engines do not. Rover diesel engine of a type has only got 3...

    LPG or Quad ??

The best thing to do is to scrap the engine and fit a 200/300 tdi Does not matter what you do the v8 is just to juicy. Had one or two and that was before fuel costs were what they are now.

    rear bumper black paint?

No, Dries and goes satin/matt in it's finish. When it gets chipped it can be touch up with a brush and after a couple of weeks you can't see where it's touched up. No primer,no sanding, brushed on, no brush marks and its cheap. Wipe over with diesel to re-soften the top layer to remove marks...
