Hi guys after abit of advice, making progress with my defender restoration but I'm stumped on the steering ball joint. I've decided to renew the drop arm ball joint whilst it's on the vehicle. I've taken all the bits out but there's a collar at the top and was wondering if it should be taken out...

so just to make sure they replace the 50x40x3mm sill channel which is on the inside of the aluminium sill. cheers andy

hi guys, im after abit of advice. half way through my first defender restoration and im wondering if the tree sliders replace the inner sill rail, do they still attatch to the rear tub and bolt to the bulkhead aswell. any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers andy

Hya guys I've had a couple of posts on here before. Currently halfway through my first defender restoration and after fitting the bulkhead I offered up he windscreen to the bolt holes and was surprised at the gap. I only offered it up, I understand there must be room to accommodate the seal but...

It lives!!!!! Cheers for your help guys. Put a new earth lead from block to chassis on and preheated the glow plugs then used a tractor battery with a squirt of easy start and finally it struck up. Thanks for the quick replies

Still no luck tried the glow plugs even tried a squirt of easy start. The exhaust is blowing out not so much smoke though

Something else just happened was priming system with lift pump primer then it went slack asif it wasn't pumping

Will try the injectors pipes.how can I do the glow plugs as it's just on a battery to the starter no wiring to ignition just a battery and touching the solenoid on starter, will try a squirt of easy start. Cheers andy

Hi guys first post on here, so here goes. Currently restoring a defender and have gone to put the 2.5na engine back in (previously ran spot on) but it's not starting.it's only the chassis and engine so I've got a battery rigged up to the starter etc. and one to the fuel solenoid on the pump...
