Tried em all but still no joy.

It's become apparent that my p38 is governed by the BECM. Everyone talks about sync mate, autologic, and other plug in systems that are used to talk to the car. It's just cost me £75 to have my BECM resynced and was told that it could happen again. Is there a cheaper way to do this or can...

Hi, just had exact same problem with my p38 diesel. Took it to doug dransfield landrover in stocksbridge, Sheffield and it took him an hour an he sorted it. He resynced the becm. £75. Little bit dearer than I would have liked but it's sorted.

I give up, took it to a garage, gunna get it plugged in n sorted hopefully.

No no faults on dash. Only recent thing is new battery, used eka code to unlock immobiliser, but all this after starting problem.

Key in door, held down lock on fob, turn to lock, held for 3 secs, let go of lock, turn to unlock. Remove key. Cheers

Ok. Got a keyfob with my 99 p38 diesel. Key performs as normal but fob just lights up. Replaced the batteries and tried the fob re-sync, the one where you press lock, insert into door, turn to lock and back to centre, remove from lock then repeat for unlock. Tried another variant of this where...

Just been told by a bloke that superchargers are more economical than a turbo due to less lag and instant power. Is there any truth to this and can you get a supercharger fir the p38 2.5 BMW lump? Discuss!!!!!

My old man has a 2002 L322 4.4 HSE With the suspension frozen in normal mode. It won't respond to the switch, all it does is stay in it's current position. Can this be fixed quickly n cheap or is it a new pump job?
