And yet another place that leaks water into the footwells, the drain trough in front of the windscreen. Check the mastic sealing at the very edges of this trough, below where the bonnet hinges are, up against the wings. The seams leak through here.

Don't know if the Series 2 has the same problem as the Series 1, but the rear wheel arch has a built -in rust trap. If you open the rear door and look at the top of the arch, that's one of the weak spots for rusting through. If you check in the wheel arch you'll find a design hole that goes up...

Greased the prop's, put the front trim back in after finally sorting my water leak and replaced two of the rivnuts for the dog guard (real pig of a job without the right tool).
