Try changing the lift pump first, it's a lot cheaper than the injector pump ! Check that you can prime the fuel filter ok with it, inability to get it to manually pump can indicate it's knackered. The injector pump will still pull fuel through even if the lift pump is on its way out. What...

Have you tried blowing the pipes through from the sedimenter back into the tank ? I've just had a fuelling problem that was a combination of a faulty lift pump and some crud in the pickup pipe. The crud kept blocking off the flow whenever you put the engine under load.

Just a thought. Did you refit the engine earth ?

As has been said previously. Lift pump, blocked fuel filter, dirty sedimenter, blocked fuel lines / pickup in tank.

I've just had mine replaced, the pump lever would work-ish when on the cam but had no pressure at all otherwise. It took ages to bleed the fuel filter and finally it gave up trying.
