Hi i had the same problem when i had my 300tdi, ****ed about with it for a few days then i walked away from it rather than take a hammer to it about a week later after i had calmed down i went to try again and it was working perefect.

If the 55-60 blue ones are like the ones of ebay that give the hid look they are legal i have them in my td5 and it passed its mot on friday just gone. Im pretty sure the ones on the foof bar will be illegal to use on the road though....Tony

It is possible to change them i did some a while ago but you might have a problem getting them i got some from a model shop but i had to get normal clear ones as thet didn't have the right colour but when i took the old bulbs out they had a plastic green sleave on them which i carefully removed...

When i had the problem i ended up using wd a few times but i found it lasted for 4 to 6 weeks then i found some grease spray in my garage gave it a good shake and sprayed some of that in. That was about 18 months ago and no problem since. The moral of the story is keep some WD40 in the car or...

Hi I had something simular with my old discovery cored it by spraying wd40 into the barrel.

Thanks for your replies managed to get a decat pipe of ebay. Got a stainless steel one for just over £65 inc delivery at least i will still have the pipe when the car gets rotten and falls to bits, just got to fit it now and see what difference it makes if any, might get a stainless through...

If the broken part is magnetic get a some magnetic wire let it stick to a strong magnet (speaker should do it) then feed the wire in that way you won't risk dropping anything else in.
