Hi I had the exact same problem doing mine recently i ended up grinding the bolt heads off removed the cross member grinded the bolts then drilled them out very carefully and managed to fit new bolts. I found that HSS bits went blunt so i bought some re-sharpend cobalt drill bits of ebay. Hope...

Hi when i had my 300tdi i had the same problem luckily it hapend at the end of my street exact same symptoms and it was the clutch fork only about £12 from main dealers, bastard to change...Tony

I tried the tapping thing while connected but i ended up disconecting the steering damper from the track rod then undid the other trackrod end and lifted the trackrod out (cos it was killing the old back lyinon the floor) then went through the tapping routine added some wd40 fastend the trackrod...

Hi all this is for a friend of mine. She has a 300tdi and the gear stick when in neutral centred between 3rd and 4th gears but it has now started to centre between 1st and 2nd gears. Is this just a case of adjusting something. At the moment she won't drive it as she thinks its going to blow up...

I have just blanked my egr off and fitted a stainless steal de-cat pipe and also a stainless steal mid through pipe doing away with the centre box seems to run better especialy in the low gears and it sounds brill. so i will check it again round town to see if its any better...Tony
