As Wammers said, horn going twice is a mislock. As you have just got it back I would check all the doors switches are working correctly, and the switch under the bonnet behind the master cylinders.

The corris grey on new defenders ( like the one that sold for 400k) is a metallic colour so will need a lacquer topcoat.

From memory you don't have to get the bolt out. The bolts down the bulkhead are in slots, so just loosen the bolt then lift wing up and outwards to remove it

Before you fit regulator put the three bolts through it, and put gasket in place on bolts. Then put elastic band around the three bolts holding gasket in place. You can then reasonably easily hold regulator in position to start bolts, after tightening bolts a few turns remove the elastic band...

Had same problem when I fitted new regulator. Second time around held gasket in place with elastic band as advised in Land Rover fitting instructions, then tightened bolts carefully to pull regulator down squarely. Found after taking first gasket off a slight crease which was enough to allow leak.
