What have you done to your Landie today.

I can neither confirm or deny that accusation.... :p Pic was taken from back seats so would have been hard to be driving at the time. I just parked a little closet to the hedge at work this morning than I realised....

What have you done to your Landie today.

Today I have mostly solved the issue of the wire for the CB mic being in the way of the rearview mirror... for the sum total of 99p on eBay.. I could have spent silly money on buying one of those expensive (for what they are) retractable mic holder thingumies but plumped for the rather...

    Glass

Feel a bit guilty now... the membership bloke has emailed me today to apologize for the delay, unfortunately his mother in law passed away last week. Now I feel guilty for being impatient! Sometimes being a volunteer myself I forget how much work it is being a volunteer and having a life...

    Glass

Sort of to do with Land Rover stuff but if this belongs in Anything Goes then sorry... Anyone know how long it usually takes the people behind the scenes at GLASS to process a membership request? I joined online early last week and bought a couple of things through their online shop at the...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Today I have mostly had a good/bad/good day.... First I had Yogi on the ramps to adjust the handbrake and grease the necessary bits under the vehicle... Good.... Reversed of the ramps and heard a clunk... bugger... quick fettle and a poke and it appears that the nearside rear shock has given...

Andy's Landys, Coventry -Forum Spammin Extremely Dubious OTT Recommendations From Noobs Nobody Knows

Cheers for flagging this up! Nice to know that there is a recommended place to take the beast when I need to - it's only about 5 miles from me.

    300tdi ES Electric Seat Switches

Don't suppose you have a link to the guides do you just to see what I did wrong last time I tried to fix mine? I learned the hard way last time I took mine apart I spent 20mins hunting in the foot well for a ball bearing that I eventually found stuck to the end of one of the sodding springs!

What have you done to your Landie today.

Been busy this week... checked off things to do before the MOT, picked up some new wheels and rims for Yogi and got through the MOT with no advisories... which was good!

What have you done to your Landie today.

today I have mostly learnt the hard way that the electric seat switches on my '98 300tdi Disco contain lots of fiddly little parts! Fortunately I decided to take the switch pack inside and sit at the desk to try and see if I could get it to work! Opened the casing and it all fell out - took me...

    Rear Brake Pipes

Ta. Just realised that's what they were for. Looks like I need to spend more money on the brake pipes then :(

    Rear Brake Pipes

Right, Thinking about changing the rear brake pipes on my '98 Disco 1 with ABS. Before I buy the wrong thing would I be right in thinking that this... Brake Hose Set Discovery 1 ABS 94-98 STD (Britpart) Braided DA2413S Island 4x4 - Specialists in Land Rover and Range Rover Parts and...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Had the air-con re-gassed... what a difference it makes! Had the beast less than a year and never really needed the air-con but with this hot weather and the leather seats I wanted some comfort! Not knowing whether the air-con was foobard or not I used KWIK-FIt for their "make it cooler or no...

You know when you find a tenner in a pocket...

That's my guaranteed way of finding things I know I put somewhere safe... look for it for a few days, fail to find it and buy a new one on ebay. You can guarantee that the day after I get the new one the one I knew I had will turn up in what usually transpires to be a sensible place to leave it...

    driving test question

Quite worrying that you could potentially get failed for turning up in a previously recalled vehicle. Not as much an issue for me until I finally get round to adding the +E entitlement to my licence but I can see a few getting caught out with this one if it true. I know I've taken a few...

Does anyone know what this is?

I'm only 28! The tempus kit was just what I started playing around with at school - it was old hat then but still worked! I think it's even still in use at the school!
  16. N

Does anyone know what this is?

Could be wrong, but it looks rather simmilar to the connectors on the old Strand Tempus analogue lighting desks that I used to play with - they were definitely bleecon connectors on those. They're only glorified locking DIN connectors at the end of the day!
  17. N

Does anyone know what this is?

Odd looking XLR connectors if they are... Look more like a bleecon connector to me (like a locking din connector).

    Help 12v power plugs

In an auto environment where's the issue in using speakon for power? Speakon is designed to handle upto 50a so is more than capable of handling the low ampage devices most people wish to plug in to a car. It's highly unlikely that anyone would plug a speaker into the socket in the car so I see...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Today I have mostly been replacing the rear brake pads... to discover that I now most likely need to replace the calipers and disks next time around... oh well one more job to add to the list of things to sort before the next MOT

    back door wont open

Simple things first, you've probably tried them but worth a shot... Have you prised off the Land Rover logo on the outside above the lock and given it a spray of some penetrating oil?
