    Get a spare & re-furb it. When you swap them over make sure you seal all the gaps. You want the warm air to get to the cab & not the engine bay :-) You can get neoprene foam strip off Fleabay for a few pence, works a treat :-) Check Busters posts too.

    Tuning 2.5td (19j) CAV injector pump

    Not necessarily.. My boost diaphragm was well split but i had NO fuel tank pressurisation so discounted it... just lack of power & cutting out... Took me ages to get back to the boost diaphragm. Its a cheap fix, a couple of quid for a diaphragm & 15 minutes to change it :-)

    I always try to avoid sh1tparts - sorry Br1tparts where possible ;) tested the old ones after & they seemed to glow alright... Turned out the old battery although only a year old was a leisure battery- nae gud fer cold cranking diesels... Fergot to add- I wus told NOT to touch the accel...

    That KOH is cheap. Methanol a bit dearer than my supplier. Swings & roundabouts s'pose I use Trinity, but have it delivered.

    My 19J was a pig to start last year in the cold weather. I changed the battery to a high CCA (biggest that would fit in the box ) & new plugs. Not had any starting problems since. Although it does NEED a good thirty seconds (& I don't mean counting quickly to 30) on the glow position before you...
