I rekon mine does about £25 per 100 miles as a rule of thumb. It's a DHSE with a power box, good all round grunt and not as slow as some people would have you believe... :D

I think you'll find that the not changing up when cold is normal, mine does it and I've had many other autos that did it. I'm told it's to help speed up the engine warm up time. I think the hill climbing issue is just something you've got to get used to really, just slip the box back into...

It's funny you should say that because there's a car park I use now and then and even though the sign says there's room I always end up crawling in with her on her belly... I've found that if I press the EAS hold button on the way in it stays at normal height.

But in the handbook it's says that when parking the EAS rises for a better view!

Mine does when parking, lots of direction changes I think sets it off but I think it's ment to do that then it returns to normal once you move off. Does the light on the dash change?

I know mine sips from the black pump but it does a proper job! If I want a better noise you need to pick a different tool! ;-)

I do love my Rangie and for a diesel it doesn't sound bad but it's not a V8.

I'm not sure why I think it must be an old law. If it can still carry water and fight fires no tax.. (which is nice!)
