I'm not sure where the leak is coming from but it's not bad but making a mess on the drive. The wind spreads the oil so I need to clean it off and take a closer look. I'll probably get a new pump for it then but I'm not sure I fancy changing it myself :(

Is it okay to use Wynn's power steering stop leak on a TD5? I've read somewhere else that it's too thick and can knacker the pump. Has anyone used it successfully?

My TD5 has an oil leak and I think it's coming from the power steering pump. Is it a new pump or could it be a gasket. I've found a nice thread with pictures on how to replace it but does it need a new pump? So far there is no difference to the steering but I'd like to get it sorted.

Is there anyone near Leeds willing to look at an electrical short for me? I’m happy to pay for your time and hopefully learn something along the way. Someone recommend an auto electrician in Bradford but he didn’t want to look at the short and just changed an indicator relay and soldered the key...

I can't have had my gleases on when I measured them. They are just shy of 14" so I've bought some 13s and moved the drivers side further round on the spline to see if it stops bashing the window seal.

Mine has 16" blades on and I believe the standard is 13". 16s are too long and bang against the rubber seal but going down 3" seems a lot. Are 14" or 15" blades any better if available or does the stock size work well?

Glad your sorted. I'm having an alarm problem where the alarm doesn't work but the imobiliser does plus the trailer indicator light was flashing when indicating. I changed the relay from a 5 pole to a 4 and disconnected the sounder. Where is that plug and I'll check mine.

I had a similar leak on my TD5. Turns out it was the shaft connecting the boxes. It had to come out an new seals fitted for the shaft. I had it done at a dealers so got spanked a little :(

All sorted. Two faults, one was a dodgy bulb holder which I replaced and got one brake light working. The other had both filaments lit when the lights were on so I checked the wiring. One was black/green/red and the other was red/green/black. I changed the wiring on the duff side and all is...
