I purchased a haynes manual for the freelander today. It says in the manual to make alignment marks on the prop shaft flanges at the IRD and final drive. ( what are the flanges ) lol If it drive it without the propshaft at all wont it mean it will be out of alighnment when I refit it? does...

As the title states. Is it going to be a wheel bearing or is it going to be VCU? How can I find out please? The noise starts at just over 30mph and gets louder as I speed up. I cant say that I notice it as much at 70mph + Its like a humming sound if that makes sense. Paul.

At the time I thought that they were just manually folded in. (I was right) It was when I got home and found the forums that I read about it. Thats why I asked.

thanks guys........... I have reasons for my questions... If the wing mirrors are auto fold then the passenger side one is broken as it was folded inwards when I went for a test drive. Hence the reason I asked if it was electric. I have no idea how hill descent works and was curious...
