You could try that then at least you can eliminate the front. It could be either VCU bearings or rear diff mounts.

I'm 100% sure but not long back I saw some brackets for side steps on EBAY. Could try looking there first. If not then you could buy a new set for the brackets then sell the steps seperate. There are people out there that manage to dint a step and are willing to pay for one or two and already...

I can't explain it. I drove it tonight and nothing at all for ages then all of a sudden a little grind again. Sounds like teeth grinding so am assuming it is the diff. I did the tipex test again and that doesn't seem to be the issue I hope. Lines are separate but the back does turn a little on...
