    Disco exhausts

I have a TD5 Alive exhaust on my Disco, nice and easy to fit and sound great. Brother in law had a straight through on his 300tdi (no boxes) but was a bit loud for living in a small town so is now running with a back box only.

    Jap 4x4s Vs Defenders

We have L200's, Hi-lux's and a Navara at work oh and Outlanders. I had one of the L200's for 3 years and every time I took it for a service there was another warrenty recall to be done. There was rust appearing onthe doors, in the wet the rear axle always wanted to go down the road first and the...

    fuel pump ?????

It's called Micro Biological Growth, when I was in the navy this was the worst thing your could get in your fuel but then we had compensated fuel tanks, pumping sea water in to the tank as fuel was sucked out. By the sounds of it your whole fuel system is contaminated with the stuff and will...

    fuel pump ?????

Sounds like it's doing the same as mine was a couple of months, if it's a Disco 2 (you don't say) change the fuel pump or you could try the filter first and see if that makes any difference.

    Disco behaving badly

I would change the filter first before trying anymore atempts at starting her. It's an easy job and any good motor factors or Halfords should have one and you need no tools for it.

    Disco behaving badly

Easiest thing to do is not let it get low in the first place. Easier said then done some times I know. The pump should be ok I done this to mine a couple of years ago when I was late getting to the garage but thought it's ok I'll get it in the morning, but became stuck on a small hill on the...

    Disco behaving badly

:welcome2: There is a chance that there is air in the fuel line, turn the key to the second position so that all the lights on the dash comeon, then pump the throttle pedal all the way to the floor and back 5 times. You will hear the pump at the back of the car run for 30secs, then off for...

    The best purging procedure?

Used the 2nd method serveral times on 2 Discoverys when chaging the filter or Fuel connector and never had any lights on the dash but never checked the fault codes. Can't understand why the ECU would create any faults when it is programed to run the fuel pump on a purge routine, if you are...

    eu directive 2003/59/ec

From what the father-in-law has been saying, you need to complete the 35 hours over 5 years. It's still a load of bollocks, can't see the drivers from Eastern Europe doing all this training and a right pain in the arse for the self employed guys.
