    2 inch lift

I have read about double caron props, wide angle props and double UJoints... I don't know what the difference is or if they're the same. I know a TD5 has a double cardon but thats about it...so could you enlighten me. Why do the rubber donuts wear out and how does a double UJ prop get around...

    2 inch lift

I got two 18" arms but dunno how changing them will help? :P Hmmm just thinking that its prob as cheap to get the +4 procomps shocks instead of +2 with dropped mounts... and I'd have +4 shocks in case on the off chance I wanted to lift it even higher again... Prob best to keep it simple for...

    2 inch lift

Not to my last question. Wondering if I could use +4" shocks to provide the extra articulation rather than use dropped shock mounts?

    DIY Extended bump stops

lol yes I am cheap... but also skint so needs must. I'd have poly ones given the choice. It's not just wood. Its laminated under high pressure with glue/resin which impregnates the wood so wont rot or hold water. It's extremely strong. MOT man won't mind ;)

    +2" springs with standard shocks

Hi, Been offered +2" Bearmach HD springs for £50 used but only done a few hundred miles and as I need new springs I was wondering if I could use my standard shocks with them for a while till I can afford extended shocks? Also as they're off a 90 so would they fit a Disco 1.. I assume they'd just...

    DIY Extended bump stops

Didn't think about using standard ones, just fancied making some. Bought a single extended stop from paddocks to get an idea of size and design. don't need it now if anyone wants to make an offer.

    DIY Extended bump stops

Just thought I'd show my effort at extended bump stops as I didn't want to pay around £60 for a set. Construction is hydulignum (hard as nails laminate) base, 4 layers of tyre and vulcanised rubber top. Cost was just £12 for the vulcanised rubber :)

Extended bump stop wont fit...spring knackered?

That's what I figured but just wanted to double check incase I was missing something. Skint as I am, looks like I'll be doing a lift sooner than planned! meh! Or... what ya reckon to adding spring spacers till I do the lift (and can afford it)?

Extended bump stop wont fit...spring knackered?

Hi dave, No lift. Just put extended bump stops to stop the wheels hitting top of the arches at any point. The near side fits fine... although less room than I'd expect and is hitting the stop on most bumps. The off side bump stop just is just too big for the space... so I'm thinking the...

Extended bump stop wont fit...spring knackered?

I made some extended bump stops based on the dimensions of one I bought for my Disco 300TDi after fitting bigger tyres. Now coming to fit them and the rear off side one wont fit as there is not enough room. Any ideas? I was wondering if the springs might be knackered?
