What a hideous crock of $hit!!!

THAT Sir is what mopping should do do paintwork, if there is enough left (i.e it's thick enough). Definitely been resprayed at some stage though. No comment on the vehicle though, although does allude to a certain profession type. ;)

    Decals

Cheers mate, very kind indeed. Oddly he has a set up for sale. I re-searched but it won't come up unless I go through his page. Oh well at least I have that! Thanks

    Tyre question (not the usual)!

Wait for a wet day. Drive the RRC through a section of sodden chalk on a byway and then if you get stuck your tyre set-up is wrong. Just make sure you go with someone who can tow you out! ;)

    Decals

Cheers Mike. What Marty said. In fact I'm under the impression that a mopping can bring the paint up better than it would have even after the original spray. If done well all swirls and imperfections from the spray will be removed. I know of at least 1 paint specialist who will mop immediately...

    Decals

In the early spring I'm getting the LSE mopped to bring the paintwork back up to decent condition. I'm going to need to replace all the decals (RR bonnet/tailgate and also 'Vogue LSE' on tailgate). I checked Rimmerbros a few months ago and they had them, didn;t bother ordering them and...

    Advice,Which Range Rover ?

It really depends on what you really like. Take a drive in a minter classic (if you can wait and find one - although they will go quickly!) and decide whether the feel of the car, not just the way it drives - but the way it makes you feel, is better for you. Personally the P38 doesn't do it for...

    15k classic??cheap..see this!!!

Ha! Is that a drinks cabinet between the front seats? Very rock and roll... I drove past them last Thursday, they've got a few really good looking quality classics in there atm, although for some reason they aren't listed on the site! There was one particularly nice 3.9 in Beluga Blue out...

What engine oil for 3.9 V8??

I use 20w50 race oil in mine. Bit of a bitch to get hold of (although you can get 20w50 normal from Halfords easy enough). Tend to get it from a rally tuner up north somewhere by mail order.

Ha that's what everyone said! ;) I might just leave it, chuck a set of 24" spinners and move to Knightsbridge! Thanks a lot for the reply's guys. Got through to Fernside who might be able to see me later today (assuming I can sort the RAC at the same time). The stress of 'have I spilt an...

    Mechanic around Poole, Dorset

Hi there. I've been reading this forum for sometime now but (very luckily I have to say) haven't encountered too many problems with the Range. Mostly post on pistonheads, but not sure they will be able to help me out on this one and notice a few other people from the PH forums on here. I'm...
