I'm in the process of a chassis change on my 90 and am taking the opportunity to repair some body work. The battery box - my question is this, when over lapping the new material to the old to create a new joint is it best to seal the joint, if so what with?

Removed rear sides and rear tub, more corrosion and bits disintegrated (what a surprise). Found replacement bulkhead. Started to work out how to repair the tub. Need to choose a colour to start some paint work while waiting for replacement chassis. I'm favouring orange at the moment.

Enjoying reading this, I've just started the same job on my 90, stripping down with chassis ordered, keep it Coming!

Still stripping 90 for rebuild. - doors, roof, wings, seatbox, floors, grill, transmission tunnel, off today! Think I might be looking for a replacement rear tub though.

Bulkhead not looking too healthy!

Removed back door chequer plate and wires, removed forward facing rear seats and chequer plate from rear floor, removed headlining and dash.

Tried fitting rock sliders last night, drivers side- no problem, passenger side- tried knocking in to outrigger to find half my chassis falling on the floor! Bit the bullet today and Ordered a new Galv. chassis today. TBC......
