any thorghts if its worth getting a 2nd hand one, or spend a bit extra and get a new one

i have looked in the reservior and it splashes alot when brakes are pumped hard, cant see any bubbles. also apears to be i thin layer of deposits at the bottom of the reservior. but i take it the master cylinder must be shot so i will get a new one on order an give the system a good bleed.

have just checked flexis and cant see any balooning. i bled the systen out 6 months ago when i replaced the flexis on one side and used new fluid from a sealed container. if there was air i would expect the pedal to feel sponge like all the time. the brakes always work on the road its just...

i have had a problem with the brakes on my disco 200 tdi for some time but has recently got worse to the point its a bit dogey now and need find out whats wrong as i cant figure it out. when i drive the car hard and rev it abit higher i can push the pedal to the floor and harly any thing happens...

cheers guys, brought a standard prop for 20 quid, greased her up and fitted now all is good and ready for the next problem :)

just had a look at the prop and i think i may have over tightened the vice and bent the bit at the end where the uj cup sits this it probly why i cant push it in enough to get the circlip in. i have this problem on both ends. cheers for the offer "the mad had man" but its probly not worth trying...

15 hours thats bad! oxfordshire didnt even try to keep the roads open. the same time i was on the ring road trying to help by pushing and towing a few cars to create a path for ambulance with some other guys. just amazes me how people just sit there when they get stuck and wait for other people...
