If valve as dropped make sure you check the piston VERY carefully. One my works van dropped a valve, ford repaired as done on warranty 2 weeks later wacking great hole in piston. They then had change the engine.

Agreed. Mine wont show more than 13.7, and average speed of 26mph. Even after 200 miles on motorway. Took it on holiday to isle of white last year. 500 miles, averaged 15.9mpg, even though computer still said 13.7 and 26mph. Having said that mine hardly gets used, 50 ish miles a week at most, so...

No windows in rear, any seats in back? If not its a van. Even if have rear seats cant get it reclassified without having windows. Hard top, truck cab are commercial vehicles to dvla/tfl

Biggest prob i got is leave home at 6.30 am and dont usualy get home till 8pm so it below freezing. the snow on roof started to melt, run down and refreeze. not too fussed as ill sort it friday night as that when it be used next.

Fog lights will (should) only come on when lights are on. you can get socket testers, or with new mot regs on trailer sockets garages will have then. they plug in, you go through the various lights and it shows any probs

If the lighting wireing got fog light cut out that deactivates the car fog light when trailer plugged in could be wired wrong. acting on rear lights instead of the fog

Check the ducting from the air meter towards the inlet manifold. can do it with engine running and spray carb cleaner over the pipework,if revs pick up theres an air leak. also check air filter not clogged

When i got mine was glad misses wouldnt let me get a classic and badgered me into looking a p38s. Thay have their problems and quirks but there a fountain of knowlege here.
