Hallelujah! I figured it out. For some reason the bottom part of the linkage was bent the wrong way around... put it in the vice and one big mallet latter she's a gooden. :D Thanks for all your helpful advice. :)

i run 235/85's but i checked it with various sat navs over the past and it's always been between 3-5mph under. varied from different speeds. a friend of mine had a defender and his was the same. always very cautious through speed cameras

If your speedo is saying 60!? shouldnt that mean your actual speed is about 65?! defenders were never made to do those speeds... last i checked my speedo always shows me doing 5mph under what im actually doing as for big wheels, tyres etc..

Easiest way I found to set up your heater matrix is to just cut the control cable so its stuck on full blast... After all.. In this weather you either want to demist or heat up.. Plus it keeps your engine nice and cool.
