I had the same problem a couple of years ago, it was the master cylinder. you could bleed it again but after a few days it would just loose pressure. i got a 300 series one and changed the slave as well just to make sure.

Hi, when the garage changed the gearbox oil they may have underfilled the it. if it is the same as the 300 series it needs to be checked when the engine is idling cold. hopefully it just needs topping up. Dan

Hi A couple of months ago there was a 200 tdi Crankshaft for sale on ebay, that came complete with shells. i have not been able to find it again and wondered if anyone knew or can remember the seller. it was £120 plus postage. prehaps someone kept it on the watch list. Thank for any help Dan

My dad had this problem with with his Disco, in the end the problem was the bulb's for the auto gearbox were to higher wattage (10 instead of 2.2) changed these and no more hot console. Dan

On my Dads V8 we had the same problem with water level going down and no drips on the drive. i found the t piece where the lpg system was heated was leaking but only when the engine was runing. pulled it apart cleaned it and now we have no problem.

The vent is located next to the main headlight on the front of the vehicle. it is ine every defender since 1998 and is on both left and right hand drive models. there is one on both sides of the car.
