Its a bit unfair ,In that p38 are prity hard to steal ,and modern stuffs easier ,but we are all being tared with the same brush....Mind you i had a Mitsubishi shogun 14 years ago an no one would touch it ,Till i got a certified immobilizer fitted and it was tamper proof ,funny looking back now...

Slack nuts :D wheel balance, warped disk,due to stuck brakes ,are first to mind ,BUT on a p38 which yours is not ,id be thinking locked center diff VC , that would cause vibration and thats what knackered the prop shaft ,not sure whats on yours,,,;)

Just a wee update :D,,I changed the green sensor on my dse 2.5 about 10 days ago or so n i can report ,Its not revving all by itself,slight high idle and the glow light coming on when warm ,hot ,gear changes are smother ,and mpg has slightly improved ;)..thats me second one in 9...

Is the gearbox oil level correct ,fluctuating revs ,or random gear changes could even be a faulty xyz switch ,,does the dash show the correct gear,,,ie D for drive when it plays up , and said before low power can upset all ecu,s,,:eek::D..
