    Stupidest Accessory?

It'll be for gaylander owners to get rid of those smells...

    Pfft, security, what's that then?

Me, being a pillock, locked my fuel filler cap and keys in the front footwell. Ask bloke next to me if he's got keys, course he does, he's got a car, doesn't he... Open door, job done. I love Land Rover locks...

Quick question re: 200tdi sump plug...

What size is the washer? I'd rather have one than take it off, only to find it's knackered and I'll need another one.

Quick question re: 200tdi sump plug...

S'aright if you've got a load of old-ish pennies. But you do need A LOAD of them to make it worthwhile...

Quick question re: 200tdi sump plug...

Ok, thanks. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a stupid size (like wheel nuts) and that I can fix my mate's brother's oil leak. Apparently he's not the least bit practical, so I figured I'd earn myself a couple of quid... So RED hotting and cross hatching it saves the "expense" (if you can...

    Transmission brake 1987 90

It's a Land Rover... These things are character, mine does it, so I just plonk her in gear. That's why you have the extending bit on the wheel nut spanner, it doubles up as a handbrake release hammer...

Quick question re: 200tdi sump plug...

Socket size needed? And where I can get new washer?

    Removing the T from TD

What dis/advantages would an intercooled non-turbo engine have?
  9. Green Bob

    Removing the T from TD

You can't really make it out. But the pipes link up to the intercooler in front of the rad. I cba taking the grill off to show you...

Nope. Peer's Law: Solving the problem changes the problem.

    Peer's Law...

Oil leak fixed finally. Now diesel is dripping from fuel pump. Fun fun fun!

    Removing the T from TD

Mine does have an intercooler. I just wondered if it was worth removing them so there's less to go wrong...

    Removing the T from TD

I thought as much. But wondered if there might be a glint of hope to it...

    Removing the T from TD

How much sense would it make? i.e.: pros/cons?

    F-ing oil leak keeps moving.

Hylomar? Be nice to know what it is... And if there are any alternatives?

Although I suppose an old rusted out shell for under 500 quid'd be good followed by stripping and rebuilding...

    F-ing oil leak keeps moving.

Could I reasonably easily make a new gasket or is it an internet shopping job?
  18. Green Bob

    Want a Series

How about sensibly and functionally original?
  19. Green Bob

    F-ing oil leak keeps moving.

Or I keep replacing the wrong bits. Either way, the oil cooler gasket is where it's really peeing out. Am I going to need another one, or are there any quick cheap fixes? It's coming out above the hose above the pressure switch from what seems to be a tiny hole, but there's a load coming out...

    Want a Series

Yeah, I'd seen that, thanks. There's a number. But they're all so far away without a trailer... Or a car atm, 90s ****ing oil from cooler gasket and I need that to get fixing asap
