    110 (95) Brake problems

Ho, yup, clamped the single rear flexi, then Passenger, then driver, it made no difference, the pedal still gives, so right enough, it must be the master cylinder. Is there a picture guide out there for changing the master? Thanks for the help! Cheers K

    110 (95) Brake problems

Hey, bled it again a couple of times tonight, then did it with flexi's clamped and no air came out, so it looks like the master cyl right enough. Is it pretty straight forward to do the seals? thanks for the help!

    110 (95) Brake problems

Hi folks, having replaced all the brake components (all disks, calipers, pipes, flexi's etc.), and bleeding the brakes numerous times with a self-bleed kit, I'm gutted to find that the brakes are completely pumped (as in buggered...). The pedal hits the floor when I try the brakes with the...

Advice on changing the fuel filter

This confused me quite a bit. I've got a 300tdi and I get told to "change it empty, pump the fuel in through manually" and then older more bitter people tell me to "stop being a nonce, fill the new filter full of diesel and screw it back on, job done" Which way is best then?!

Double Doh - snapped bolts in rear hub...

Thanks for the site info folk! SLob - I broke the bolts that fasten the brake disk onto the hub. They go from the top surface of the brake disk on to the rear of the hub via 5 collared bolts.

Double Doh - snapped bolts in rear hub...

Hello (again....) So, previously owner of my Def 110 (my sister, soon to be disowned), took her landy to some halfwit that changed the rear disks and used an airgun. Despite heating up the bolts with my welding gear, and using a medium sized bar to take them off, I broke every fekin bolt. I...

Rear Psngr drive shaft popped out...whoops.

Hi folks, trials with my landy go on. Was changing the rear disk, got everything off back to the mudshield, was starting to wire brush and generally clean stuff before reassembly and I caught the drive shaft, which moved forward with a clonk, and now wont go back in again. Its sitting about 3"...

Replacing the Roof of a 110 Station Wagon

Hi Ben, interested in the results here, I've got to do my tub caps and need to take the roof off also. Like you, the sunroof leaks like a barsteward, I'm told a replacement sunroof kit sort all that out though if you put enough silicon sealer in! cheers K

    Rear disk brakes on a 95 110 300tdi

Hi folks, am about to replace calipers/brakes/flexi pipes et al on the rear of my landy. Having just looked at it today, the rear spring seems very close to the heavily corroded caliper bolt, am I going to have to take the spring out to get this off, or is there enough room for some serious...

    200 Tdi 110 defender brakes

Ahh, fluid & bleeding was the first things to be done before throwing money at it. Local garage man assured me Master cylinder was ok. Will check the bearings tho, I thought they felt ok, but I know a man who'll be able to tell me for definite.

    200 Tdi 110 defender brakes

Mine is a 300tdi 110, disks all round. Its diabolical. I may as well be rubbing chickens against the disks instead of break pads. Am doing disks, flexis/calipers all round to see if that makes a difference. Checked out the Master cylinder it seems ok. I have to pump (the brakes...) twice before...

    300tdi 110 (132k) brakes - what to try next

Hey, Have changed the brake fluid, serviced the brake calipers, replaced the flexi pipes, disks are ok, new pads all round. You have to pump the pedal to get the brakes to work, but I'm not losing any fluid so I'm assuming that the master cylinder is ok, can't see any leaks etc. Any ideas...
