Rear divers door won't shut properly

Hi folks, one of those five minute jobs turning into a nightmare. Door handle was buggered, and I assumed that because the button kept sticking in, that this was why the door wouldn't shut properly. After taking off the card and finding most of the metal work in a pile at the bottom of the...

    Another brake issue

Ho! found out what was wrong with my brakes - both the brake pipes that went to the master cylinder were badly flared, in one of them the pipe was around half sized, in the other, possibly less, so that would kind of make sense, that I could change all the components, and not notice that the...

    Another brake issue

Hello mystery, have changed all the rubbers too. Hopefully we'll find out this weekend what the problem is, failing that, might have to take it to the garage (dan dan daaaaaaaaaaah.) Fingers (what's left of them after putting the vacumm pump in) Crossed!

    Another brake issue

Magsnemma - even with a new pump it's pretty hard to feel at tickover - I'm pretty sure it's the servo on mines - If you can wait till the end of the week I'll be swapping it out, I'll re-post back on progress! The only other thing is bleeding the brakes. I can't see it, but there were really...

    Injector leaking at block (300tdi)

Afternoon! Opened the bonnet the other day (always a bad mistake....) and I noticed that fuel was leaking from the injector as it goes into the block. I've looked at tightening it up, but it hasn't really shifted, and I didn't want to tighten any further incase I wreck it completely. So my...

    Another brake issue

Ah, I've just changed my vacuum pump and guess what, that's not what's wrong with it. The downer is, that I've already changed the master cylinder and the servo unit, ( and bled it, had other people bled it, and taken it to garages to have it bled). I can only assume that it's the servo that's...

    300tdi (95) Replace blower / heater fan

The switch is ok, and the feed is live. Every time I turn it on, it blows the fuse, so I'm assuming that the fan is indeed, well pumped. Apart from the feed and the switch, I guess there's nothing left to check before taking the fan out? When you said "check the continuity of the fan motor" I...

    300tdi (95) Replace blower / heater fan

Howdy, As winter is fast approaching (ok, it's in Edinburgh tonight already!) I need to fix the fan in the landy. Is there any tips or tricks for this? The Haynes vague mentions a set of lower holding bolts in the footwell of the passenger seat and I'm buggered if I can find them. If I'm going...

How fast does your landy go...

My tired 110 95 CSW can sit around 75 for a few hours, but as so many others say, the noise is diabolical. However, as some form of revenge when it stops, it pishes oil out all over the road and is often reluctant to start afterwards.

    Where shall I start !!

Howdy, I'm in the same boat, have had my 94 300tdi CSW a year, I kicked off with; disks & calipers all round Shocks Master cylinder brakes Servo Door hinges A-Frame Ball joint (a niiiiiiightmare!!!) Tarted up bodyword and resprayed black (its what I had in the garage at the time) Failed...

    110 Brakes on a 90

I did all the brake disks and calipers, put on the ebc green pads, did the hoses too and the master cylinder, made a huge difference at the time. Later on, someone else had a go in my landy, thought the brakes were iffy, and I found out my servo was completely humped - I only wish I'd checked...

    blower unit problems 300 tdi

Scott / Dan, yup, looks similar to mines. It's like driving a noisy fridge at the moment. Thanks for the info, going to give it a shot on Boxing Day I think, I'll post back and let you know how much blood was lost / what else I broke in the process! Cheers Ken

    blower unit problems 300 tdi

Hi folks, My heater has started blowing fuses every time its turned on. After reading some of the other threads on the it sounds like it might be seized (since I can't find any other obvious wiring issues). The Haynes Vague makes the replacement of it look pretty complicated, is that the...

300Tdi (94) Imobiliser working too well...

Hi folks, my imobiliser won't turn off, have checked the fuses etc. but all are fine. The light is on and no amount of pressing the 3 contacts on the fob against it will make it go off. Everything looks ok, I can detect voltage through the system etc. Problem is, I didn't fit it, and have no...

The devil breaks wind in my face once more..

Hello again, these sound like damn fine ideas. Will run the temp fuel line first see if that works, then failing that, try the diaphram in the lift pump. Thanks for the advice! cheers Ken

The devil breaks wind in my face once more..

Hi folks, This just started the other day, if I park the landy (95 110 300tdi) up hill, even the slightest of gradients, when I come back the next day (or sometimes in about 20 minutes...) it won't start and needs a fair amount of cranking to bring the fuel up (I'm assuming) to make her start...

    300tdi 110 (95) stuck in High Ratio

Hi, tried what you suggested, but it feels rock solid. I'm beginning to think its more jammed/buggered that just sticky. I'll give it another go tomorrow after I've taken it for a run (I know, bugger all reason for it to make any difference, but there's a slim chance if its warm it might...

    300tdi 110 (95) stuck in High Ratio

It seems to be, it appears to be free to move, but just doesn't change through the box. I'm a transfer/gearbox novice, I just wanted to make sure that i'd checked everything I could before I take it to the landy man and get humiliated again! cheers K
