have a pto winch and a power take off unit just after some tips on setting up the drive line cheers

i run the BFG Goodrich mud-terrain km2 they are 255/85R16 or (33.8/10.6 inches) my truck is all stock with no lift and iget no rubbing will need to fit wheel spacers if you plan on using chains on the tyres though

no total km is 270,000 sorry. Mechanic said the odd td5 gets a cracked head don't mind spending the money on it as don't ever plan on selling it

have a 2001 defender it had done 250,000km when i bought it. I have done 270,000 km on it the guy i bought it off did the clutch just before i got it had it 2 years and just got a cracked head never overheated or anything checked oil before i took it in for a service got it back from service...

Think the td5 defenders that come to new Zealand don't have the egr unit attached but will be checking the air intake while it's off .

Will be fitting a new head machanic said the new head was made in Spain

Have a 2001 defender has a cracked head and am getting fuel in oil have done injector seals truck has done 270,000km is there anything else I should do on the motor while the head is off

am looking at putting a pto winch on my defender only problem is i also wonted to put an overdrive on but they both attach at the same point on the transfer box. Anyone no if the power take off units fit on a disco transfer box as if i fit a disco transfer box to my defender that will gear it...

just found this in the uk think i am going to have to order a power take off unit from the uk just found a supplier close by that should be able to get me a mechanical/pto winch want to mount the winch on the front. Reason i wont a pto winch is there is always someone burnning there winch out on...

am looking at fitting a mechanical winch to my td5 defender any tips can't find much on the net about how they fit any info would be much appreciated cheers.
