Wow it’s great hearing all these comments on this engine, boy how I wish I’d looked this up cause I was told by LR to avoid the 2.7 and go for a 3.0 instead as it was much improved I would have bought the V8 or V8 SC for defo.

Indeed however today’s keys are programmed & if you ever do come across this situation make sure all other keys are deleted from the ECU before programming a new key. But having your car stolen from your drive without the added drama & trauma of a burglary could be seen as a blessing these days...

Lol that’s Exactly my argument with them. I believe there was prior knowledge of a mechanical issue starter just clicks but won’t spin even now as I’ve removed it but the bolts were already lose so someone had already looked at the starter motor. Then all the keys had been deleted from the cars...

I have a diagnostic Autel tool and didn’t find any timing related or crank sensor faults stored on ECU maybe I’m panicking a bit but we’ll see by next weekend

Yes I took the front bumper grille headlights off hoping to get rads out the way to check the belts but it seems a long process lol anyway got the auxiliary belt off so no problem in that area but ran out of time because I was going away. Yes bought it from Copart salvage £4600 including fees...
