    Auto Range Rover

Just got mine back from LPG service. Runs sweet on LPG now. I have to say the performance on gas is marginally different but the 4.6 V8 has awesome grunt and smoothness, so it doesn't affect my enjoyment driving it. In fact, having filled up with 50lts gas for just under £25, if anything it...

    No power in petrol

Yeah, I'm gonna leave it. They want too much for it and are being v.difficult as its a CAT C. I think they suspect that I want to 'ring' it.

    So glad I bought a Rangey.......NOT!!!

Good news!! Hertsautogas are the heroes of the hour. A dodgy O2 sensor was sending too much fuel (whether LPG or petrol) so thats why it was running lumpy. An LPG service and a new sensor and my P38 is now running sweet. 50 Litres of LPG for under £25 filled her up. I think I might be...

    Vague steering

Cheers All good advice as these will be cheapest to remedy and I can start here and worry my way up the expensive stuff in stages.

    Vague steering

One by one, I'm sorting out the niggles on my recently bought 1996 4.6HSE. At slow speeds, the steering seems slightly vague and lots of very minor corrections are needed to keep it in a straight line. I'm thinking steering damper. Would the symptoms be similar?

Under £20 inc postage. Not much of a gamble. Seller has good feedback record. Might try this myself. My front seats look a bit tired.

    Shot Bison

Ever seen one of those wildlife safari programmes where a Bison is shot and goes down slowly on its front knees? Thats what my P38 does overnight. It had a 2nd hand EAS unit recently. Rear seems to stay up. When started up, everything works fine and it rises and falls as it should. Just...

    P38 Sunroof

Sunroof doesn't work and dash warning says 'sunroof open' when I turn off the ignition. Loving the new car:rolleyes:. It all reminds me of those old comedy routines where a dodgy plumbers work would result in the toilet flushing if you turn on the hot tap and the shower starting when you...

    Rebuild CAT C write off

Everything worked. It was an old boys pride & joy and he clearly cherished it. Strange that the best 2nd hand car I've ever owned turned out to be a P38 of all cars. Just my luck. Waiting for a price from the insurers and will take it from there.
