hi gents my series 3 lightweight does not over heat on tickover and normal driving around town but took it on m25 speed just under 60 for about 15 minutes and she went off the gauge and spat out about 4 pints of water. filled her up let her tickover for 30 to 40 mins and drove round town no...

was out driving for 4 hours before hand greenlaning then turned off started but then wont pull under load only revs standing goes to move off get a few feet thhen revs drop , new 12 volt coil points new and set dizzy new all been working perfect but not now

brakes work can run it through gears on axle stands , soon as clutch is dipped wheels drag to a stop, brakes work good and have not been changed .adjusted only so drums could go on easy run wheels nic and smooth now all dragging only had to adjust 2 wheels

have now got car on jacks and all wheels are now dragging can just about turn by hand

hi gents replumbed all brake lines adjusted brakes as some wheels were dragging , and now all brakes are locking on is this to do with shuttle valve , also had total rewire but never wired in valve switch , any ideas

dizzy points and condenser new plus also had 2 others fitted and tryed all the same had two carbs on and two fuel pumps fual pipes good starts first time choke makes no difference on start plugs are good just will not rev wants to cut out

noticed old points where melted and bit of smoke coming from new ones any thoughts checked timing again all good and is fual delivery coil is only odd part not new

think it is good set up tdc on number one no leaks dizzy is new ya think needs slight rotation

all conected all good also run from fuel can incase problem with tank items changed points dizzy and condenser carb and fuel pump and no difference ticks over and starts sweet only coil not changed came in box of bits , was 24 volt but been rewired complete by professonal to 12 volt

hi gents i,ve rebuilt my series petrol engine which ticks over nicely, and starts first time. but wont pick up or rev, i have changed carb and fuel pump distributer points condenser .could the problem be down to faulty coil or wrong coil as is not new . regards Brian

hi was trying to put series 3 bracket on lower right hand side where civi one would be but pulleys did not line up with was going to have 2 alternators one on top on double pulley set up and other down bottom instead of milatary tension wheel ? by fitting series civi bracket
