just had chance to have a closer look :eek: its not coming out of the rocker cover gasket at all, its coming out under the thermostat housing at the head gasket :eek: just bubbling out, there is no loss in compression or anything it just seems that the oil is seeping out. was bubbling but...

hi everyone, my 300tdi disco is leaking alot of oil out of the rocker cover (under the gasket at the front to be precise) just wondered if you guys have any ideas? i took the oil filler cap off and there was some whispy white smoke coming out (not alot though) any help would be really great cheers

fingers are still crossed! but, i replaced the sender unit today and took her for a drive and as yet all is well :D no bubbles at all in inline filter! its looking promising! oh yeah, i also checked every jubilee clip on the fuel line (all of which were fine) but when i went to check the one on...

ah right, i have changed replaced bit, there are only 2 pipes on mine, the one from from the lift pump and the other one goes to the fuel pump. where does the return go from on mine do you reckon?

which bit is the filter head?

the return pipe look like it on the fuel pump, comes out of the top at the rear and goes behind the engine? is it this pipe?

oh yeah i did have a problem with the tank not venting air but since then i have cleared the pipe and that seems to be ok now

hi, posted on hear a little while ago coz i sucked water into my engine :mad: well, after two (yes two) very bent conrods, new gaskets, piston rings etc my disco started this morning :D only problem being the rocker cover now leaks oil (quite alot of oil!) may just need to change the gasket...
