    hello and HELP!

Go into the Discovery section and search 'indicator stalk' there are several threads, one of them specifically discusses removal due to the indicator self cancelling function not working (mine does this but I just live with it). The Haynes manual does not give any info at all, I've checked the...

    Finally got the discovery!

Nice, love the colour. I had a td5 auto, crap gearbox, glad to see you went manual. The only thing I'm not keen on on is the head lights, I've never felt that they suit the Disco II, I preferred the old square headlights but that's just me. Are you putting some side steps on?

Now then All, new Disco owner here...

Welcome, I'm sure you'll be pleased with your choice, I'm astonished at the insurance quote for a new driver, you've done very well. Good on you for not going for the easy option like a 1200cc Corsa or some other biscuit tin! :)

    hello and HELP!

Hi Mike, I don't think anyone on this forum is going to advise you that removing an airbag is an easy job, especially if you describe your mechanical knowledge/ability as being on a par with Stephen Hawking! It does sound like it is a stalk/switch problem but the wheel should not need to come...

Disco 1 300 Tdi - auto or manual better?

I'd say that if everyday use is what the car will be doing 99%+ of the time, go with a manual. For the slight benefits of the auto when climbing hills during pay and play sessions you will suffer worse fuel consumption for the rest of the year on the road. For what it's worth, I had a TD5 auto...
