My 200 tdi transmission tunnel used to get "quite warm" but I didn't think much of it. Then the gearbox blew up!! £1100 later and it's back on the road and the transmission tunnel doesn't get any where near as hot. I don't want to be a bringer of doom but I'm keeping an even closer eye...

Forgot to say there's also a VAT saving for a dealer by reducing the price of the car and the trade in. Can't remember exactly how it works but it's to do with how much profit is shown on paper at least on the car they sell you.

Totally agree It's how much cash you part with plus your Disco that's important. Dealers can always drop around £1000 off the advertised price of any car on their pitch and still show a profit; this in turn means they can knock the same off what your trade in stands them at. Hope you got a...
