    Taxation Question

If there's no break from the current tax disc to the new one, you do indeed get some leeway. If the vehicle isn't taxed currently, it's run out or has been SORN then you don't - you are legally supposed to wait for the disc to arrive. You'd be unlucky to get caught but it's a possibility.

Central (un) locking not working properly.

It does seem that one of the most common faults is Operator Error ;)

    Not sure yet. Help please.

I'm not sure if ours has sun visors fitted. Can any other owners please tell me how to check for them, and if we do have them can you please explain how they work? Sorry, it's been a long day :hippie:

Who is it that usually handles the poles? sorry polls.....

How about a sticky for the handbooks etc

Fair point & well argued  I was thinking more of the many recent members with "fashion led" taste though who might benefit from being able to find the Topix pages within LR - that would at least stop them asking "how do I open my doors?" and the like :)

How about a sticky for the handbooks etc

Would it be a good idea to have a sticky with a link to the handbooks / owners manuals available from Land Rover to perhaps point people in the right direction for answers to the simple "how should this work?" sort of question.... Just an idea as I've sent so many people the link today I have...

    lifting kit

Who cares what phone they have? A 2" lift aint going to help much with anything surely - there's far too much underneath to clang on stuff anyway.... There is on ours anyways-- far too much reliance on electrickery going on in and under these beasties as far as I can see

Central (un) locking not working properly.

Did it ever work properly? ie; 1 Press only opens driver's door, 2 presses opens them all.... If so you might need to re-sync your key fob

    Not sure yet. Help please.

If you want a Freelander, shop wisely and well - do your research and read everything on here - and buy a Td4 If you want a Multipla then please buy a Berlingo (or a Renault Kangoo 4x4) Both excellent and often underrated - but at least they're not Fiats Good luck in your search, whatever you...

    wiring conduit

You won't find it much less than 1/2 inch diameter I reckon but Google is your friend - it's all out there - possibly a chandlery might have something less heavy duty than this which I have seen before for heavy duty 3 phase installations AFC 6202-60-GN Liquidtight Flexible Metal Conduit LFMC...

    Help with tyre rating.

80% on road use, 20% parking on grass verges outside Waitrose :D

    Help with tyre rating.

Try Maxxis for good long tyre life. Personally I'd go for an AT rather than a road biased tyre but just watch your load ratings

Anybody any experience of Maxxis Mudder Tyres?

No experience of the mudders, but I ran Maxxis on my Disco for about 3 years and was very happy with them in all conditions. Also toured Europe for 6 months in the Syncro again on Maxxis ATs with no problems. Good tyres in my experience
