For Sale Early 110 or SIII Station Wagon Exmoor Complete Interior Seats

I've just removed all these from my early 110 as I have upgraded to a later style. These are all Exmoor trim (to the best of my knowledge, and also Exmoor's as I have shown photos and checked with them) and are all in very good, clean condition from a non-smoker's vehicle. There are a couple...

    52mm tacho into a Disco 200Tdi engined 110

Cheers guys. TBH it's more of a styling thing...I'm redoing my interior at the mo. The right hand clock aperture on the dash is currently a Durite voltmeter, but it's very bright at night, and also sticks out of the dash unlike the other clocks. I want something fairly flush fitting ideally...

    52mm tacho into a Disco 200Tdi engined 110

I'm doing some interior upgrades, and I want to fit a 52mm tacho into my truck. It has a Disco 200Tdi engine. Seem to get conflicting info here. Am I right that any 52mm diesel tacho should work and it just does onto the "w" connection on the alternator? Does it actually have to be a diesel...

200tdi conversion - pics of some fiddly bits

TBH I've not had a really good "planning & measuring" look at my pipes...obviously my 200 was already fitted when I got my truck...my issue at the moment is that my air cleaner arrangement is not good, and it's horribly close to the alternator pulley. There's some rather nasty welded pipe doing...

Problems fitting Exmoor trim seat re-trim kit...

TBH guys I don't think the temperature is as critical when you are dealing with leather...although I could see that it would make a big difference on vinyl. Anyway, as I said 24hrs in place seems to help no end, so I'll have a go tonight at doing the fastening strip on the cover I fitted last...

Problems fitting Exmoor trim seat re-trim kit...

Cheers for the input people. I had another go tonight, and it was done in 5 minutes flat. Basically, I think with a couple of nights with the leather stretching over the foam, and the foam compressing under the leather, it was suddenly one hell of a lot easier. So for the second seat, I've...

200tdi conversion - pics of some fiddly bits

Thanks for this. All my pipework/filters/clearance at the moment is a bit pants and this is on the to do list. Very grateful for the pics.

Problems fitting Exmoor trim seat re-trim kit...

I'm currently trying to fit an Exmoor trim re-trim kit to a pair of Defender seats. The seats are standard Defender items, but the earlier "hard-back" version. The retrim kit is the full kit in black leather, including new foams. I've got the cushions covered OK, however I am really...

Freestyle Wheels On A Defender With Drums...again

I'm casting my mind back here, but it's not actually the drums that cause the issue (if I remember rightly), the wheels will go straight on the rear drums. I think that if your 90/110 has drums on the back, it has the older style axles, and it's actually the flange nuts on the older style front...

Freestyle Wheels On A Defender With Drums...again

I will also say that I'm actually in the camp that prefers them without spacers, even though mine has them. It's on 265/75/16 off road tyres, and it does perhaps look a bit wide in the track when viewed from in front, and also gets mud up the side at the slightest provocation...

Freestyle Wheels On A Defender With Drums...again

Yes you need spacers if you have rear drums... No you don't need a grinder... Make sure you buy hubcentric spacers as they are much better for your appplication I'd also go for something branded like Bulldog... No you don't need loctite, just torque them up properly in a star patten and more...

Smooth or Ribbed - pros and cons?

If anyone is after a swap at some point, I have a very straight ribbed 110 roof with alpine lights. Problem is, I need that teeny bit more clearance to get into my garage (yes it's that close) so if anyone fancies a swap for a smooth one, let me know.

    great british land rover show

I went as I live 15 miles away and I had a free ticket courtesy of the Goodwinch LRO advert. It was OK for a freebie but I've have felt a bit robbed if I'd paid for it. Good points Well attended by fellow LR enthusiasts Some good show deals (got a pair of LED headlights pretty cheap) Seemed...

Which budget, but decent, LED lights?

Well there was me taken in by all the blurb and the photos...thanks for pointing out the potential pitfalls! I like the "look" of the Britpart lights, they obviously employ the LED tech that I am after, and also look more modern but whilst still looking like a Land Rover if that makes sense. I...

Which budget, but decent, LED lights?

Thanks Coffeelandy. I've had a quick google on those...they do two models of light but are around the £300 mark from what I can see. Any links to the £200 version?

    Which machine mart/Clarke welder?

Thanks guys. I too ended up with a 135TE. Seems to get good reviews pretty much everywhere and I think it will be fine for my needs. Now the tricky bit..learning how to use it. As they used to say on Top Gear..."how hard can it be?"
