It’s not showing a ballast resistor on the wiring diagram. Any idea we’re I would find it or should it be in the gauge itself?

i’m in the process of rebuilding a 300tdi for my defender. The cam and bearings are both marked and I’d like to replace both. Do the cam bearings need to be machined/reamed after fitting?

hi folks. I’m on my third heated screen because water/condensation sits in the bottom rubber and rots out the contacts. Is the glass parallel so I could flip it and have the contacts at the top?

I’m about to change the 300tdi in my defender for a known good discovery 300tdi. The only snag I can see I’m going to face is the air cleaner housing needs to be bolted through the head bolts and isn’t on the discovery engine. What’s the opinion on here? Can I get away with removing two bolts...

it took me an age to find a decent set of door with lift up handles and winders, but try finding replacement handles!!!

i bought a harness back when i was running wipac crystals, i've now got truck lite leds and i'm told it will make no difference at all to the lights, but may help the switch last longer. good write up with pics, thats what i like about this forum

Not a sausage. Looked to be in fine fettle so possibly bent?? I might clean it up, chuck it on the lathe and dti it.

Replacement stub did the trick without having to fit another set of bearings.

i'm wondering if the stub is bent myself. i pressed the races in firmly and they are nice and tight in the hub. i've crack tested the stub with NDT paint and it passed. for the sake of £20 i might just order a stub and a wheel bearing kit

no missing washers and its a brand new bearing kit, i have spare hub seals to i pulled the bearings and put them through the parts washer, they look perfect. it doesn't get tighter gradually, it just stops with very little pressure.

hi guys. I have 1998 defender drivetrain on my defender and the front/front prop uj is shot. Tried looking on the various websites to order a replacement but there seems to be conflicting information and part numbers. Can anyone shed any light on which kit I need to order? Cheers folks
