I did one many years ago, was told never split them as there is no guarantee that they would seal properly, but it was many years ago, things will most likely have changed.

I think it's best not to split because they have no gasket and have polished surfaces , so it would be hard to get a good seel.

make sure all doors are closed properly not forgetting rear door,

Hi guys and gals, I have an update, changed final stage resistor it was drawing 50ma , still got a pull of 110ma, so it's looking like I have to find 50-60ma lose, doing a fuse pull tomorrow and alternator amp check hope I find the drop.

I would go for condenser, they are known for this, if it's run ok then fails to start that will be the problem.

Hi Datatek, yes I'm going all out to fix the problem, don't want this coming back and bite me, the FSR they sent me was the wrong one should be triangular they sent square, jobs stripped down and waiting for second delivery , they are a pain to get at.

Hi Tricky, yes it's got quite long thread that's probably because it's a problem with the L322 and to me it's a very new thing, I will get to the bottom of this, I have had alot of feed back and some very good advice, they are good lads on here very helpful. Rob

great stuff , hopefully I can get to the bottom of this, just for reference fuse 12 in hand book says heater blower and heated seat, but it also does all controls on centre console ie, heated front and rear windows all heat settings.

so do i connect the multimeter an set to amps for this test.

sounds a possibility that I'm losing some back through the alternator as I have done amp test a cross the fuses 2 show a pull that's the the alarm system 1 shows small pull to steering wheel adjustment another to the heaters, but when I add up I'm still losing 110mp, so that's must be alternator.

Thanks guys, fitting final stage resistor tomorrow that will be one job out the way and go someway to reduce drain, then I think the alternator could be suspect maybe draw back, is there anyway I can check to see if alternator is drawing power back.

just done a battery check, was down this morning 11.84. cranking 9.97. tick over 14. 18 1000rpm 14. 19 under load 14. 11

I will check again tomorrow, I did only run up to 1000rpm, been told I should have run it at 2000rpm.

after 2 days at trickle charge it sits at 12.7v
