Hi All. I have a 2004 FreeLander Sport Premium which naturally came with the 18" alloys... 235/50/18. The net result is its impossible to get any form of aggressive off-road tyre so I could take part in an off-road day. Would say 16" wheels if I bought some second-hand off eBay from another...

Wonder if the W8 engine out of my Passat would fit ;)

You rekon? 140BHP doesn't propel that lump forwards very quickly.

I'll be fitting EBC disks and pads to our FL when they go. The braking system on this car is shocking. Who the hell thought drums at the back would be a good idea? :crazy:

Heated front screen is your friend ;). Best feature on our FreeLander by far.

Hi. We have a '04 FreeLander Sport TD4 Auto and im looking around for some tyres that will do better on muddy ground. The problem is with a 235/50/18 profile there isn't many about. I've found something called the Conti 4x4 Winter Contact which seems to have a better tread than the standard...

hmm... might explain why its worse when the car is leaning forwards.

Gets worse in reverse too though (strait line) which is odd! :/ If you put it in reverse (even standing still) its horrific where as in 'D' is pretty quiet until you move.
