Fuel pump sounds the same as it did before i did seals. And i tried the easy start route too.. With the same result.. Had several experts look at it and we are all stumped... When and if i find the problem i,ll let you know.. At the moment i do not know what to...

I take it the inertia switch is the one that trips in the event of a collision.?

Would you happen to know the torque settings for the injector clamp bolts?? And yes the pump is working fine. Thanks.

Gave mine 6 purges, and towed it for 2 miles and still nothing. I,m thinking that the ecu may need resetting as i did not disconnect the fuel lines or the battery...:confused::confused::confused::confused: If all else fails i,ll sell/break it for spares..

Well, Have spent all day fitting new injector seals to my td5 and now it will not start..At all..:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Hi all, Had sniffer test done and it is NOT the head gasket, so it has to be a blocked rad or heater matrix, or both.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Totally agree. Done my water pump last week and although fiddly it was doable after removing oil spinner/rotor casing complete.:)

Just a thought, The haynes workshop manual recommends you do not have the head skimmed/machined in any way.:confused:

Well i think its pretty much a fact that my head gasket has failed. I,ve changed out the thermostat, water pump,expansion tank cap, flushed the radiator and bled it so many times and still it keeps pressurising. So next week the head comes off and i,ll fit new head gasket...

Sounds very much like a faulty release bearing. Hard to put the blame on anyone. Sometimes you just get a bad one mate.:doh::doh::doh:

Okay, i,ll try all of that but i have power flushed the rad both ways and no blockage was evident. Cannot get rad recored as it has the plastic end caps. So it would have to be a new one. Thanks for the advice.:)

Gonna get a sniffer test done on Tuesday to check head gasket.
